The second of two training courses on Maker Education took place in Tirana, Albania at the beginning of March in 2022. This was a week long course bringing together Youth workers from France, Italy, Romania, Hungary and Romania, to learn about Maker Education methods and activities.
Hosted by Arduino Albania and led by Digijeunes, the workshops involved learning about: Design Engineering: How to create and lead young people through design challenges
Introduction to Arduino and programming
Electronics and e-textiles
Why use Digital technology in youth work?
Introduction to Computer Aided Design
Introduction to digital fabrication: 3D printing and CNC machine
Digital Maker Education in Youth Work: What resources are available?
What is a Makerspace? How can we make sure they are inclusive?
It was a great week exploring different activities and techniques. We were able to share each others experiences and advices in Youth Work. The presentations, tutorials and resources we were using throughout the week are available on our website, through the Tutorial page.
We also enjoyed free time together, exploring the city of Tirana. The last evening we went to a local restaurant with typical Albanian music and food. It was super nice and at the end we were all dancing with all the locals!
Thanks again to all the participants for that incredible week! We hope our paths will cross again 🙂
