DESCRIPTION:Digital DIY and Music making\n\nTraining Course \n19-24 October 2021 | Calderara di Reno\, Italy \n\nThis training course is for youth workers who would like to explore digital diy in connection with music making. The activity involves practical workshops on maker education as well as participation in a music and performance art festival.\n\nWe are offering a week-long training course on digital DIY and music making. You will have the opportunity to learn from and exchange with artists\, educators and instructors active in the field of maker education\, music making and performance art. \nThe activity will culminate with a music and art festival\, the Boom Cantiere Creativo\, a yearly gathering taking place in Calderara del Reno\, Italy. \nThe aim of the training course is to get acquainted with youth work practices that revolve around making\, reusing and recycling items that are bound to be discarded\, especially electronic and electric waste.  Participants will learn about innovative practices on music making\, digital diy\, they will learn how to trigger youth’s creativity in these domains. \nAccessorily\, participants will be able to access a number of parallel workshops offered by local artists and organizations\, happening throughout the week at the training venue. \nWHEN? \nThe activity will take place from October 18th to October 23rd\, 2021 \nWHO? \nWe are searching for candidates who are interested in: \nDeveloping their skills in digital technologies\, problem solving and STEAM subjects (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art and Maths). \nEducating youth on digital DIY\, music\, performance arts\, reusing and recycling practices \nParticipating in Maker Education activities and creative projects \nWHAT? \nThe digital diy and music making training course will focus on the following topics: \n– making electronic musical instruments \n– reusing electronic and electric waste for artistic and creative purposes \n– engaging youth in learning-by-doing activities \n– Electronic prototyping: learning how to create electronic circuits and manipulate electronic components \n– creating interactive installation connected with music and involving digital technologies \nWHERE? \nThe course will be held in Calderara del Reno\, Italy \nTRAINERS? \nThere will be facilitators from Digijeunes and Ayamola (an NGO based in Barcelona active in the field of non formal education on music and performance arts) \nAPPLICATION \nIf you are interested in participating\, please fill out this google form so that we can contact you in due course.
